What a longevity retreat actually is, and what the evidence says.
Retreats, wellness hotels and longevity clinics are sold under the same words and are not the same thing. We write about what separates them, what happens during a week at one, and how much of it has research behind it.

Three kinds of stay, sold under one word
“Longevity” covers three quite different weeks. Knowing which one a place is actually offering is most of the decision, and the label on the website rarely tells you.
Retreats
A week built around one aim, whether that is sleep, stress or a reset that lasts, in places designed to be quiet. Rarely medical, and it does not need to be.
Hotels & Resorts
Hotels where the health programme is the reason to go, not a spa menu beside the pool. The programme is usually optional, and priced on top.
Longevity Clinics
Doctor-led programmes that measure where you stand, then build the week around what they find. This is the end of the range where the diagnostics are real.
How we write about these places
Chosen, not aggregated
We write about a place because it is worth understanding, not because it paid to appear. Where that changes, the page will say so on the page.
We say what we do not know
Where a place has not answered something, we say so plainly rather than leaving a gap you have to notice. Nothing is dressed up to fill a layout.
No rankings, no scores
There is no best-of list here and nothing to climb. Every place is described the same way, and which one suits you is yours to decide.
Do you run one of these places?
We would rather describe you correctly than quickly. Write to us and we will send you the same questions we are asking everyone, so your entry is written from your answers rather than from a brochure.
Claim your entryThere are no rankings and no scores here, so there is nothing to be moved up or down. We are after an entry that is correct, not one that is flattering.
